Aged Care Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse and Care Worker

HCA is seeking Registered and Enrolled Nurses as well as Aged Care Workers (ACEs) to support residential aged care facilities across Albury-Wodonga and Wangaratta regions. Enjoy the freedom, flexibility and rewards that come with working for HCA!

Your duties as an Aged Care Nurse include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering high-quality, person-centred nursing care and monitor residents’ health and wellbeing.
  • Administering medications, manage care plans, and respond promptly to clinical changes.
  • Leading and supporting care teams, ensuring safe and effective delivery of care.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and upholding Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards.
  • Adapting quickly to new facilities, working across various shifts and locations as needed.

Your duties as an Aged Care Worker (ACE) include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting patients or residents with personal care tasks, tailored to individual needs.
  • Monitoring and accurately reporting changes in residents’ health, behaviour, or mobility to nursing staff.
  • Performing basic clinical duties like taking and recording vital signs, blood glucose levels, and assisting with patient observations under supervision.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment by supporting infection control measures, restocking supplies, and tidying areas in line with facility standards.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship, helping to reduce anxiety and promote comfort for residents.
  • Adapting quickly to new facilities, working across various shifts and locations as needed.

Eligibility:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) or Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) plus 12 months full-time experience in residential aged care
  • Completion of a Certificate III or higher plus 6 months full-time experience in residential aged care
  • Valid National Police Check
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Up-to-date COVID-19 & Influenza vaccinations
  • Full Australian working rights
