You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the professional development of our nursing staff and the quality of care provided to our patients. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about education and committed to excellence in Perioperative Scrub/Scout Nursing.
Perioperative Services
Our Perioperative Services are situated in a modern facility with 19 operating theatres, including a Hybrid theatre, three endoscopy suites, and two Cardiac Cath Labs. Equipped with advanced technology, our department supports over 1800 operations each month. We focus on patient-centred care through our day-of-surgery admission points, three Post-Anaesthetic Care Units, and two discharge lounges.
We work with a great team of surgeons who perform a wide variety of Upper GI surgeries along with complex gastro and colorectal surgeries. We use state of the art equipment including the da Vinci Robot.

Key Responsibilities
· Work alongside the established Perioperative Clinical Education Team to develop, facilitate, and assess the hospitals perioperative education.
· Ensure that educational resources are aligned with current evidence-based practices, adhering to the hospitals guidelines, protocols, and policies.
· Moderate, update, and evaluate eLearning activities to maintain high standards of educational delivery.
· Maintain collaborative working relationships with Clinical Support Nurses to effectively deliver and assess the curriculum.
Key Capabilities
Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing or working towards
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the same level position
Leadership and Management experience
Responsible for Safety and Quality
Operational Management of the Theatre
