CARE MANAGER – AGED CARE

Aged Care Manager Position Available in Townsville, QLD

About the Company

Our client is one of the largest home care providers in the world, with over 700 offices in eight countries. They offer a wide range of tailored care services to assist people in living independently in their homes. Their North Queensland office is under new management and requires an experienced and dedicated Care Manager to oversee their commercial home care operation in the North Queensland region.

Role Overview

We are looking to recruit a dedicated individual who strives for best practice, can communicate well with people of all backgrounds, and approaches every situation with care and compassion. If you’re a self-motivated person with a positive attitude who enjoys and thrives on challenges, we would love to hear from you.

As a Care Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Recruiting and training care team members
  • Scheduling and monitoring operational performance
  • Ensuring high-quality consumer-directed care is delivered to all clients in accordance with company policies, procedures, laws, and relevant professional standards
  • Delivering some nursing services as required

This full-time management position reports to the Executive Management Team.

Skills & experience

  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Knowledge of the aged care industry/issues or Community or Home Care, Continuous Quality Improvement, the Aged Care Quality Standards – Essential
  • Previous experience in Aged Care or related discipline – Desirable
  • Assessment and care planning – Essential
  • Certificate in a specific nursing related discipline (Dementia care, geriatric nursing, palliative care) – Desirable
  • Postgraduate studies in business, management, and/or finance – Desirable
  • Current National Police Clearance; and
  • Current First Aid & CPR.
