Disability Support Worker

Healthcare Australia (HCA) is seeking experienced Community Disability Support Workers to support various organisations and individuals across Rockhampton.

We have ongoing agency shifts available, offering flexibility, competitive pay and consistent work.

This role is ideal for reliable local Disability Support Workers who are passionate about delivering person-centred care and supporting clients with complex needs in SIL and community settings.

Please note: Female Support Workers will only be considered for this position.

We are seeking Disability Support Workers who demonstrate:

• A strong commitment to person-centred, strengths-based care
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families and support teams
• Reliability, professionalism and confidence working independently or within a team
• A flexible approach to agency work, including varied shifts and environments

Experience/qualifications in the following is also required:

• High & Medium Challenging Behaviours
• High Manual Handling
• Maybo Trained

Eligibility:

• Certificate III or higher in Disability or a related field
• Minimum 6 months full-time experience in SIL or Community Care
• Valid National Police Check
• Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate (within the last 3 years)
• Full QLD Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive
• Minimum 3 COVID-19 vaccinations
• Female Disability Support Workers only
• Full Australian working rights
