ED HMO and Registrar

The Medic Oncall by HCA team are excited to be partnering with a Victorian based Hospital who is looking to expand their Emergency Department and will be opening a Short Stay Unit (SSU) which is targeted for opening and commencement in June / July 2022.

We are currently recruiting for:
Hospital Medical Officers HMO – 10 Full Time Equivalent
– Rostered across 24/7 and weekends
– Must be minimum PGY2 with relevant experience in Emergency and general AHPRA registration 
Registrar – 5 Full Time Equivalent
– Rostered across 24/7 and weekends
– HMO PGY3 upwards will be considered for this role with relevant Emergency and Critical Care experience and general AHPRA registration 
Consultants – 4 Full Time Equivalent  
– AM and PM shifts
– Weekend shifts as part of a rotating roster with On Call
– Must be FACEM or equivalent with specialist registration with AHPRA 

This role will be based roughly 30 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD and 45 minutes from Geelong. This Emergency Department provides care to over 50,000 patients annually of which 25% are paediatric.  The department has a great team culture with the primary focus of delivery patient centred, timely care.  The community is culturally diverse with 1 in 2 families being born overseas.  All Medical Staff will be required to work across the different areas of the Emergency Department including the Short Stay Unit.
