About the role
The Speech Pathology Service delivers comprehensive speech pathology services to patients across various settings, including acute care, outpatient clinics, and community-based programs. You will provide assessment, diagnosis, communication treatment, swallowing, and related disorders, ensuring the highest quality of care for our diverse patient population. This role will work as a community-based role, based out of the southern suburb of Adelaide when not working directly with clients in the community.

Location: Adelaide, SA
Department: Ambulatory Allied Health
Caseload: Acute care, outpatient and community

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • Videofluoroscopic Swallow Study (VFSS)
  • Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation Of Swallowing (FEES)
  • Adult Disorders of communication and/or swallowing

Roster: 7.5-hour shifts between (0800 – 1800) Monday to Friday, 9 shifts per fortnight
Duration: June 2025 – June 2026

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide evidence-based speech pathology services
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and interventions of communication and swallowing disorders
  • Create and implement personalised treatment plans
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary clinical team
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology (or similar)
  • Speech Pathologist Australia (SPA) Registration
  • Australian working rights
  • Australian drivers’ licence
  • National Police Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
