Occupational Therapist – Telephone Advisory Permanent Role – Herdsman, WA

About the Client:
They are provider of workplace and employment information for people with disability, employers and service providers. With a team of over 2,000 Allied Health professionals and 1,000 medical specialists they cover most of major disciplines.
  
About the Role:

  • Permanent Full-time roles, might consider part-time
  • ASAP start
  • Location: Herdsman (Osborne Park Offices), WA
  • Ongoing learning and development in areas of technology and disability research
  • Arranging workplace assessments and reviewing reports
  • Problem solving to determine most suitable work practices and modifications for sustainable employment
  • Utilising clinical reasoning skills to determine appropriate modifications and assistive technology to be funded through the Employment Assistance Fund
  • Liaising with workers, employers and service providers to assist in identifying barriers and appropriate solutions in specific work roles
  • Approving funding for assistive technology that will overcome barriers in the workplace for people who have a disability
  • Providing practical, personalised, and confidential services to assist and advise on disability employment and Workplace Assessments, Workplace Modifications, Workplace Adjustments and Equipment to remove barriers to employment

To be considered:

  • Full AHPRA and BSc (Occupation Therapy) or an equivalent
  • Excellent phone based customer service skills
  • Experience and understanding of Workplace Assessments, and Vocational training
  • Competency in case management of clients with disabilities
  • Capacity to utilise Outlook, Word, Excel, website navigation and accurately maintain client database records
  • Flexibility to work 7.6 hour shifts between the hours of 6am – 5pm WST
  • Current Police Clearance and Working with Children Check – or ability to obtain one
