Payroll Officer – Adelaide

As Payroll Officer, the role primarily involves processing and providing accurate, timely and efficient payroll services to employees using multiple payroll systems, coding of timesheets, data entry of payroll and office administration tasks including liaison with clients and employees via email and phone. This role must be undertaken by someone who is willing to take responsibility for their work, will demonstrate enthusiasm and interest in our company and is dedicated and hardworking. 

Reporting to the Payroll  Manager, ideally a minimum of two years’ payroll experience with demonstrated experience in the use of different payroll systems is desired hoever we will consider somebody who is keen to learn payroll, please express this interest in your cover letter.

The position is responsible and accountable for the management of staff payroll including both administration and payroll comprising of some 500+ full time staff and 5000+ casual and contract nursing agency staff. Included in this role is the responsibility for ensuring correct advice as applicable to both staff and clients and the maintenance of related records, both hard copy and computer based.

Let’s talk about you!

  • minimum 2 years of experience in a payroll position preferred
  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency with intermediate aptitude in Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Well developed interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
  • Effective communication and time management skills
  • Salesforce experience highly regarded
  • Ability to maintain confidentially on information at all times
  • A confident and pleasant approach to phone and email enquiries and;
  • A meticulous eye for detail and accuracy.
