About the role Our client is seeking an experienced Support Worker to assist spinal injury clients in their private residence. Assisting with personal care tasks.
The shifts are 2 hour blocks starting from 6.am. Looking for female support workers.
Key Responsibilities Include
Transfers in and out of bed, wheelchair, commode chair, car
Personal hygiene
Oral hygiene
Shaving and hair care
Dressing
Feeding and meal preparation
Medication use as instructed by client/health professional
Exercise/stretch routines as per Therapist prescription
To be successful in the role you will have:
Current First Aid Certificate
Personal mobile telephone with data capabilities
Access to reliable transport for the purpose of attending community based services; (walking distance, public transport, own vehicle with valid NSW driver’s license)
Flexibility and availability to cover a range of shifts times (early mornings, evenings, nights and weekends); and
Proven capability to build and sustain positive working relationships, and the ability to work in a team environment or independently as required
Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadline
