Under the Operations Manager, the Practice Manager (PM) oversees daily clinic operations, including staff management, doctor support, community liaison, business development, and administration. The PM is the primary contact for staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, enhancing practice profitability, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
Collaborate with other PMs and stakeholders to implement consistent policies and practices.
Actively participate in team meetings and coordinate regular clinic meetings to discuss operational changes.
Lead recruitment efforts, ensuring appropriate staffing and compliance with organizational policies.
Organize staff training and maintain documentation for accreditation and onboarding.
Manage staff rosters, timesheets, and leave requests.
Operational Duties:
Support the reception team as needed and handle all clinical/non-clinical complaints.
Address IT issues and liaise with maintenance contractors as needed.
Ensure compliance with Work Health Safety regulations and manage clinic marketing initiatives.
Financial Management:
Oversee service-based rosters within budget and handle patient billing/receipting.
Complete bank reconciliations and manage operational supply orders.
Collaborate with the Operations Manager to identify opportunities for sustainability and profitability.
Qualifications & Experience:
5+ years in General Practice reception, administration, or a similar role.
High proficiency in General Practice systems (e.g., Pracsoft, Practice Hub).
Strong computer literacy and medical industry experience required.
Skills:
Effective delegation and responsibility assignment.
Creative problem-solving and resourcefulness.
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Key Deliverables:
Ensure high-quality patient care through effective management of the reception and nursing teams.
Maintain awareness of RACGP standards and contribute to clinic accreditation processes.
Foster a positive culture and achieve excellence in service delivery.
