Healthcare Australia (HCA) is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to work agency shifts within the Brisbane Immigration Detention Centre (IDC) and Alternate Places of Detention (APOD). We have consistent agency shifts available, offering flexible work with excellent hourly rates.
This role is well suited to Correctional, ICU, CCU, HDU and Emergency Registered Nurses seeking a change of clinical environment, the opportunity to broaden their skillset, and the benefits of agency flexibility and regular local work.
This opportunity is best-suited to Registered Nurses with over 5 years’ experience in:
Intensive Care Units (ICU)
Coronary Care Units (CCU)
High Dependency Units (HDU)
Emergency Departments (A&E)
Prison/Corrections
Alongside ongoing demand within the detention centre, there are also opportunities to work across other facilities aligned with your nursing experience and clinical skillset.

Eligibility:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
Minimum 5 years’full-time post graduate experience
Valid AFP National Police Certificate for Immigration Detention Centre Employment (or willingness to obtain)
Willingness to complete mandatory paid training (online and in-person)
Up-to-date vaccinations and serology
Full Australian working rights
