Rostering Officer – Home Care – Armidale, Coffs Harbour or Tamworth

On a permanent part-time basis working 4 days per week we are looking for a Rostering Officer based either in our office in Armidale, Coffs Harbour or Tamworth.  Reporting to the National Rostering Manager you will be the first point of contact for a range of enquiries from clients and staff.  You will join an established team with the responsibility of allocation of shifts to our Support Workers for our Home Care clients.
  
Day to date you will also:

  • Manage the roster according to the Annual Workforce Plan
  • Answer phone calls and assisting with client and stakeholder enquiries
  • Schedule support staff and ensure all shifts are filled in a timely manner
  • Understand the client needs to match appropriate skilled staff to clients; to deliver services in line with their care plan
  • Identify gaps in the roster, ensuring there is a pool of support workers credentialed and ready for shifts
  • Provide supervision of support workers on a regular basis
  • Engage and communicate effectively within all divisions of Home Care
  • Report incidents immediately in line with the Home Care Incident reporting policies
  • Perform ad hoc duties and projects assigned by your manager

Your resume should show that you can confidently handle phone and email enquiries in a fast-paced environment, keeping things running smoothly even when it’s busy. Any experience in healthcare rostering will be a big plus! You’re driven, passionate, and dedicated to coordinating effective services for both clients and staff, with the ability to stay calm and focused when the pressure’s on. You’ll either hold — or be willing to obtain — a current National Police Check.
