We are seeking an experienced healthcare leader to step into a pivotal Donor & Surrogacy Team Leader role within a well-established and values-driven fertility organisation.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership position overseeing donor and surrogacy services across multiple locations, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, patient safety, and team leadership. The role is ideal for health managers with experience in fertility clinics, and those with donor and surrogacy exposure will be highly regarded.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Donor Program, the Donor & Surrogacy Team Leader plays a key role in ensuring safe, ethical, and compliant delivery of donor and surrogacy services. You will lead a multidisciplinary donor team, coordinate complex patient journeys, and act as a central operational link between clinical, laboratory, counselling, administrative, and corporate teams.
While prior donor and surrogacy experience is advantageous, comprehensive support and training will be provided for strong Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) leaders looking to specialise further.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operational Management

  • Lead and support a high-performing donor and surrogacy team across multiple states
  • Provide day-to-day operational oversight, workflow coordination, rostering, and escalation management
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering accountability and consistent practice
  • Act as the first point of escalation for operational, clinical, and patient matters

Quality, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, ethical, and organisational requirements
  • Monitor donor limits, consent processes, approvals, and documentation standards
  • Champion patient safety, risk management, audits, and continuous quality improvement
  • Maintain accurate records and data integrity across donor and surrogacy programs

Patient Care & Program Coordination

  • Provide compassionate, expert support to donors, recipients, and surrogates
  • Coordinate complex, regulated patient pathways from enquiry through treatment
  • Support or facilitate patient information and education sessions
  • Liaise closely with fertility specialists, embryology labs, counselling, nursing, and admin teams

Collaboration & Change Management

  • Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and leadership groups
  • Support the implementation of service improvements and change initiatives
  • Ensure clear, consistent communication of updates and compliance requirements

 
 
About You
You are a confident and compassionate leader who thrives in regulated healthcare environments and understands the complexity of fertility care.
Essential

  • Experience working within Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)
  • Demonstrated leadership, senior coordination, or team-leading experience
  • Experience managing complex patient pathways or regulated health programs

Highly Desirable

  • Experience in donor and/or surrogacy programs
  • Knowledge of ART legislation and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience in quality improvement, audit, risk, or compliance activities
