Physios donate a day’s salary on Work4Significance¨ Day

w4sLeading aged care physiotherapy provider, Revita are donating one hundred percent of their income on September 4th 2012 to fund the provision of hands-on health care programs to improve the health of Australians living in poverty on Work4Significance¨ Day.

The annual ‘Work4Significance¨‘ Day appeal asks participants to donate one day of their time or one day’s salary for the sake of giving to others in need and is the key fundraising initiative of the SOS Foundation, a non-profit public benevolent institution which focuses on engaging health care professionals and raising funds to support health services, practical assistance and relief to those in need in urban and remote Australia.

Revita Director, Jeremy Kestenberg says, “To be significant in the lives of others is part of our Health Group’s vision. We encourage our residents, their families and clients to book a service on September 4th knowing that the full fees of their treatment will go to a worthwhile cause”.

Revita is the aged care division of the Back in Motion Health Group, Australia’s leading physiotherapy group with over 300 staff nationwide. Revita provides aged care facilities with “physios that love aged care, and are passionate about creating significance in the lives of senior Australians” according to Kestenberg.

Back In Motion Health Group National Director, Jason Smith, says he is proud to host Work4Significance¨ Day annually across each of the group’s 45 practices across Australia. “Back In Motion is thrilled to support the SOS Foundation, as it strikes at the heart of our value base to add back to those around us who are less fortunate. One of the things I’m most proud, is when I see our staff contribute their time, money and effort to the purposes of the SOS Foundation. Their enthusiasm on Work4Significance¨ Day to promote the cause, and dig deep demonstrates to me that this is far more than some token ‘corporate social responsibility’, but rather a real heartfelt concern to help”.

Work4Significance¨ Day appeal manager Lynda Cunningham, adds “We encourage the wider community to support the SOS Foundation on September 4th. It’s a great way to do something to benefit those less fortunate whilst looking after your own health and wellbeing”.
