Are Canadian qualifications recognised in Australia?

Yes. Canadian-trained nurses, midwives, doctors and many allied health professionals are generally eligible to apply for AHPRA registration, provided their qualifications and experience meet AHPRA’s assessment criteria.

Do I need AHPRA before I apply with Healthcare Australia?

No. You can register your interest first and we’ll guide you through the AHPRA process.

How much experience do I need?

Most roles require 1–2 years of post-graduate experience, depending on your specialty.

Can my partner or family come with me?

Yes. Many visa pathways allow partners and dependants to be included.

Can I choose where I work in Australia?

Absolutely. From major cities to coastal, regional and remote locations, we work with you to match roles to your preferences.

Do you offer any sponsorship opportunities?

Yes! We sponsor a range of Nursing, Midwifery, and Allied Health roles.

How much money do I need to come to Australia?

Costs vary depending on your visa, location and circumstances, but most applicants should budget for AHPRA fees, visa costs, flights and initial living expenses. We’ll help you understand expected costs and plan ahead before you arrive.
