Announcement
We are pleased to begin our role as the new contract manager leading immunisation services for residents in the City of Casey, Cardinia Shire, and Baw Baw Shire. Working closely with all three Councils, our focus is on providing coordinated, high-quality immunisation programs that support the health and well-being of these growing communities.
With the introduction of this new coordinated contract, we can deliver immunisation services more efficiently across municipal boundaries, creating meaningful cost savings for councils while ensuring consistent, high-quality care for residents. This approach streamlines administration, improves access to immunisation sessions throughout all three municipalities, and supports the best value for our communities.
A Collaborative Approach to Public Health
Healthcare Australia is honoured to lead the delivery of immunisation services on behalf of the City of Casey, Cardinia Shire, and Baw Baw Shire Councils. Our role brings together the collective expertise and dedication of all partners to ensure high-quality, accessible vaccination programs for residents across all three municipalities. By coordinating service delivery and administrative processes, we can provide a consistent experience and support the health and well-being of our communities now and into the future.
Matthew Politarhis, National Manager – Health Solutions, expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to support council immunisation programs as part of this transition to Healthcare Australia: “We are proud to partner with the City of Casey, Cardinia Shire, and Baw Baw Shire Councils to deliver essential immunisation services under this new shared arrangement. Our team at Healthcare Australia is committed to providing safe, accessible, and high-quality vaccination programs for every resident. Together, we are creating a sustainable and coordinated service that not only meets the needs of today but can also grow with our communities into the future.”
City of Casey Mayor, Cr Stefan Koomen said, “The new contract allows Councils to further streamline the administration for our immunisation service, ensuring we have a sustainable and scalable service that provides the best value for ratepayers. HCA is a highly capable, community-focused organisation that has a proven record in health management and community activation.”
Shire of Cardinia Mayor, Cr Brett Owen also commented, “For residents, the shared contract between our three Councils means they will have access to even more centres across all three municipalities, providing them with greater flexibility.”
Shire of Baw Baw Mayor, Cr Kate Wilson added, “Immunisation is a vital health service that is highly valued by the community as a key element in improving the overall health and wellbeing of our residents. We were also impressed with the range of programs HCA will provide which will contribute to improving overall health and wellbeing across our region and have a positive impact on the broader community.”
