We are seeking a Rostering Officer to join our team for a permanent role based in Tuggerah, Central Coast. Reporting to the Home Care Manager, you will be the first point of contact for a range of enquiries from clients and staff. You will join an established team with the responsibility of allocation of shifts to our Support Workers for our Home Care clients.
Day to day!
- Manage the roster according to the Annual Workforce Plan
- Answering phone calls and assisting with client and stakeholder enquiries
- Scheduling of support staff and ensuring all shifts are filled in a timely manner
- Understanding the client needs to match appropriate skilled staff to clients; to deliver services in line with their care plan
- Identifying gaps in the roster, ensuring there is a pool of support workers credentialed and ready for shifts
- Supervision of support workers on a regular basis
- Engage and communicate effectively within all divisions of Home Care
- Reporting incidents immediately in line with the Home Care Incident reporting policies
- Perform ad hoc duties and projects assigned by your manager

Your resume will need to show that youβre able to manage phone and email enquiries in a fast-paced environment – and any experience in rostering of course will be highly desirable!

Qualifications:
- Experience with or understanding of frail elderly, people with dementia, mental illness and their carers
- High level of oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks; and meet deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team with limited direct supervision
- High level of computer literacy skills and the ability to operate an information database
- Ability to analyse information and respond appropriately
- Understanding of how rosters work and what drives their cost outcomes
- High degree of problem-solving skills
- High level of customer service skills
