Study Aged Care with a Registered Training Organisation
Start a course with HCA and become a fully qualified aged care worker within six months. HCA’s Registered Training Organisation provides several certified and accredited aged care courses throughout Victoria and South Australia. Our registered training organisation (RTO) equips you with the skills and credentials to begin work in the aged care industry.

The foundational qualification to work as a personal care assistant (PCA), support worker or aged care assistant.

There are multiple roles within the aged care sector that require different qualifications. For example, the CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support is needed to be a support worker or PCA. However, you can choose to be a Nurse.
Step 1: Complete your training.
Complete a bachelor’s degree such as Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Science (majoring in Nursing) or Bachelor of Nursing (Advanced Studies). Students with tertiary qualification can also complete a two-year Master of Nursing (Graduate entry program).
Step 2: Register with the AHPRA annually.
Register with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHRPA) to practice as a Registered Nurse. You need to renew your AHPRA registration annually.
Step 3: Advance your career through specialisations.
Specialise in a specific area such as aged care or neurological care after gaining work experience as a Registered Nurse in Australia. Opportunities to gain postgraduate qualifications in specialities such as Perioperative or Critical Care Nursing.
