Casual Trainer – Podiatry

Healthcare Australia (HCA) is a major provider of healthcare services across Australia, including allied health, primary care, recruitment, NDIS, care services, and training.  As a leader in healthcare education, we have been providing high-quality training and support services through our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Melbourne’s eastern region for 25+ years!

We currently have a unique opportunity for a talented Podiatrist to train and upskill cohorts of healthcare workers in a range of Podiatry assistant tasks.

The opportunity

Join our passionate education team to deliver training in the Podiatry space.  Our trainers are provided with clear session plans and resources prior to undertaking training sessions. Assessment responsibilities include both practical observation and marking of theoretical tests as well as a range of other responsibilities such as:

  • Applying a variety of teaching methods (including workplace mentoring, where appropriate)
  • Preparing and maintaining teaching and learning resources
  • Marking assessments and providing feedback to students (timeframes and use of an LMS)
  • Undergoing classroom observation by the RTO Manager
  • Participating in Validation and/or Moderation Sessions  
  • Identifying and reporting student learning difficulties
  • Supporting students with additional learning needs
  • Assisting with the review of teaching programs

As a qualified Podiatrist you are passionate about adult learning and the future talent in Podiatry!

You will either hold a teaching qualification (Degree or Cert IV in Training & Assessment) or be willing to attain it before starting, with HCA supporting you financially and leveraging our RTO expertise to help you complete the course.
