Procurement Manager

Healthcare Australia (HCA) is a major provider of healthcare services across Australia, including primary care, allied health, recruitment, NDIS, care services, and training.

As our Procurement Manager, you will lead Healthcare Australia’s enterprise‑wide procurement strategy, including sourcing, category management, supplier relationships, and contract governance to deliver sustainable commercial value and manage risk.

You will lead the development and delivery of the Group Procurement Strategy, ensuring strong governance, compliance, and alignment with organisational objectives. This includes owning procurement policies and standards, establishing category strategies for priority spend areas, and ensuring adherence to contract governance, delegations of authority and audit requirements.

The role will oversee end‑to‑end sourcing and category management, from market analysis through to negotiation and contract award, while optimising supplier panels and standardising contracts, KPIs, and SLAs. You will also lead supplier relationship management, driving performance, risk management, and ESG outcomes. A key focus will be delivering measurable commercial results, including cost savings, cost avoidance, improved working capital, and reduced off‑contract spend.

This is a full-time ongoing position based in Melbourne or Adelaide.

Let’s talk about you!

You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, Law, or a related discipline, with relevant professional qualifications such as MCIPS/FCIPS, CPSM, MBA, or Lean Six Sigma considered highly desirable.

You will bring extensive experience in procurement or commercial roles, including leadership experience and a strong background in advanced sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier relationship management. Experience establishing or centralising a procurement function within a complex, multi‑site organisation is highly valued. Strong financial acumen, data and analytics capability, and a solid understanding of probity, governance, and conflict‑of‑interest management are essential to succeed in this role.
