Clinical Lead – Vaccinations

Healthcare Australia (HCA) is Australia’s largest specialist healthcare workforce provider. We are a diverse national organisation with a strong presence across nursing, community, medical, allied health, corporate and Crisis Response Management services in every State and Territory.

This role provides clinical leadership, governance, and subject matter expertise to ensure vaccination programs are delivered safely, effectively, and in line with national immunisation guidelines and professional nursing standards. Working remotely with weekly travel across clinic locations, you’ll support both operational teams and clinical staff while contributing to the ongoing success of community vaccination programs.

The role involves providing clinical advice and escalation support relating to immunisation eligibility, contraindications, catch-up schedules, adverse event management, and vaccine safety. You’ll also support clinical education, cold chain compliance, vaccine stock management, and the development of clinical resources and protocols.

On occasion, you will attend onsite clinics to administer immunisations, support public and school-based vaccination programs, and assist with vaccine storage audits and stock management.

Let’s Talk About You:

You are a confident and experienced Registered Nurse with strong knowledge of the Australian Immunisation Handbook, National Immunisation Program schedules, vaccine administration, cold chain management, and adverse event reporting processes.

You’ll bring previous immunisation experience along with the ability to provide clinical guidance and support to multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with refugee and migrant communities, as well as vaccine catch-up programs and complex patient groups, will be highly regarded.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate clinical information clearly and sensitively to diverse community groups. You’ll be highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently while maintaining high clinical and regulatory standards.

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Demonstrated immunisation and vaccination program experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance and immunisation compliance requirements

  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact within community vaccination programs
  • Flexible remote-based role with autonomy and variety
  • Potential to contribute to large-scale public health initiatives across Victoria

At HCA we are committed to embracing diversity and providing a safe working environment. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
