Healthcare Australia (HCA) is actively recruiting Remote Area Nurses (RANs) for short-term contracts across the Northern Territory, Western Australia, South Australia, and Queensland. Current placements include rural hospitals, Aboriginal Medical Services, and isolated community clinics, with contracts typically ranging from 2–12 weeks.
RAN Experience Requirements:
Minimum 4 years post-graduate experience (2 years MUST be in ED)
MUST be able to cannulate and perform venepuncture
MUST be confident & competent in Triage & Resus
Chronic Disease management, Sexual Health and/or Child Health
Experience First On-Call
Manual Drivers Licence (Unrestricted)
Certification Requirements:
Advanced Life Support (ALS2)
Remote Emergency Care (REC) (or equivalent TNCC, RATE, FLEC)
National Immunisation Program (AGV or SA)
Maternity Emergency Care (mEC)
Paediatric Life Support (PALS/PEC) (Desirable)
Pharmacotheraputics (Desirable)
4WD Practical Course (Desirable)
RIPRN (Desirable)
Experience using CARPA Manual/PCCM
