About the opportunity
Reporting to the Clinical Care Manager, the Nurse Unit Manager will provide operational and clinical leadership across an allocated residential care unit.
You will lead Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Workers, helping them build confidence, strengthen clinical practice and consistently deliver safe, high-quality care.
This role combines clinical leadership, staff mentoring, workforce management and quality improvement. You will remain connected to residents and frontline care while having the authority to improve systems, documentation, accountability and team performance.

About you
You will be a clinically strong Registered Nurse who enjoys developing people, improving standards and creating a positive, accountable workplace culture.
Our Client is ideally seeking someone with approximately three years of senior clinical or management experience within residential aged care. Experienced Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Care Coordinators and senior nursing leaders would be ideal for this role
What you will bring:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing clinical care in an aged care setting
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Strong clinical assessment, care planning and decision-making skills
- Proven leadership, mentoring and people management experience
- Experience managing performance, conflict and workforce expectations
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical governance
- Working knowledge of SIRS, AN-ACC and restrictive practices
- Experience with medication management and clinical documentation
- Dementia care experience
- Confidence communicating with residents and their families
- Strong organisation, problem-solving and report-writing skills
- A genuine commitment to person-centred care and resident dignity
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one
