We are currently seeking an Operations Consultant to join our National After Hours team working 3-4 days per week. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you’ll play an important part in supporting both our healthcare clients and agency staff outside standard business hours, ensuring shifts are filled efficiently and service delivery remains seamless.
Working closely with our state-based teams, you’ll help coordinate workforce coverage, manage urgent staffing requests, and provide exceptional customer service in a supportive and collaborative environment.
This role forms part of our national After Hours roster, operating across Monday to Sunday coverage, primarily during early mornings and evenings. Please note, this is not an overnight or night-duty position. Shifts are designed to support operational coverage outside standard business hours, with rosters provided in advance to support work-life balance.

Day to day!
You’ll provide front-line support to healthcare clients and agency nurses, coordinating shift allocations and managing bookings to ensure staffing requirements are met efficiently. The role involves monitoring staff availability, matching nurses to shifts based on skills and continuity of care, maintaining accurate records within internal systems, and communicating closely with operational teams across the business.
You’ll also build strong relationships with clients and healthcare staff, assist with operational campaigns and updates, and identify opportunities to further promote HCA’s services where appropriate. Maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures, and WHS guidelines will also form an important part of the role.
Lets talk about you!
You’ll bring previous experience in customer service, call centre operations, recruitment coordination, rostering, or administration, along with strong communication and relationship-building skills. You are highly organised, adaptable, and thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities can change quickly.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and confidence using systems are essential, most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and delivering a high level of service in a busy operational environment.
