Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) Technician

Healthcare Australia (HCA) is seeking skilled and experienced Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) Technicians to support private hospitals in Adelaide. Enjoy the freedom to choose when and where you work while gaining valuable experience across a variety of perioperative settings.

Your duties as a CSSD Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilising surgical instruments and medical equipment in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Inspecting, assembling, and packaging instrument sets for various procedures.
  • Operating and maintaining sterilisation equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
  • Monitoring and documenting sterilisation cycles, quality control checks, and inventory levels.
  • Adapting to different hospital environments while ensuring compliance with infection control and safety standards.

Eligibility:

  • Completion of a Certificate III or higher in Sterilisation Services plus 6 months full-time experience within a CSSD Technician role
  • Valid National Police Check
  • Valid SA Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Up-to-date vaccination and serology evidence
  • Full Australian working rights
