Are you an experienced Senior Registered Nurse with a passion for oncology and clinical research? We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare organisation seeking a Clinical Nurse to play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge clinical trials while providing exceptional care to participants.

The Opportunity
 
As a Clinical Nurse, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality clinical trial care, ensuring participant safety, supporting study start-up activities, and mentoring junior clinical staff. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure studies are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and to the highest clinical standards.
 
 Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver oncology clinical trial activities from study set-up through to completion.
  • Provide exceptional nursing care to clinical trial participants, ensuring safety and wellbeing throughout their journey.
  • Administer investigational products in accordance with protocol, GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform advanced clinical procedures including:
    • Venepuncture and cannulation
    • ECGs
    • Blood collection
    • Clinical assessments
    • Central venous access device (CVAD) management
  • Monitor and manage adverse events in collaboration with medical investigators.
  • Mentor, train and supervise junior nursing and clinical staff.
  • Conduct protocol training and support study implementation across the clinical team.
  • Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, AHPRA standards and clinical research regulations.
  • Assist with clinic operations, quality assurance activities, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver world-class research outcomes.

About You
 
To be successful, you will bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-registration nursing experience.
  • Previous experience working in clinical research.
  • Strong understanding of ICH-GCP, clinical trial regulations and research governance.
  • Oncology and/or Haematology nursing experience.
  • Chemotherapy competency and accreditation.
  • Experience managing ports, CVADs and PICC lines.
  • Excellent clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for participant care, research excellence and mentoring others.
