The role
We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for casual shifts, including sleepovers, in different locations across Melbourne suburbs. Your primary responsibility as a Disability Support Worker is providing support for those in a Residential Group Home setting. Responsibilities involve manual handling, community access, transportation, personal care and companionship. This role is perfect for someone with a person-centred approach, who is energetic and excited to make a difference in people’s lives and is passionateabout the work they do.
Shifts available mainly in the South East and East of Melbourne, along with the North.
Pay rate – Starting at $38 per hour and up to $80 on public holidays
Eligibility criteria:
Minimum of 6 months paid experience in Disability, preferably within a Residential Group home setting
A relevant qualification in Disability /Aged Care/Individual Support or higher Diploma qualification in Community Services
Two relevant, professional and industry related reference checks.
Must be willing to provide or obtain a Victorian Working with Children’s Check for employment purposes.
Must be willing to provide or obtain a NDIS worker screening check
Have a current or be willing to obtain a First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID004) and CPR (HLTAID001) certificate.
