Recruitment Consultant – Doctors

Healthcare Australia (HCA) is Australia’s largest specialist healthcare workforce provider. We are a large and diverse healthcare business with a strong presence in the staffing of nursing, community, medical, corporate, allied and Crisis Response Management sectors in all States of Australia. 

As a Recruitment Consultant, you’ll build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals and doctors, ensuring we maximise placements into preferred locum roles. You’ll drive proactive business development to attract and engage doctors, while delivering exceptional service to hospitals, positioning HCA as the locum provider of choice. This role also involves maintaining compliance and supporting doctors to use HCA systems effectively, while managing end-to-end recruitment processes.

To deliver this value you will also:

  • Implement an account management approach with your doctor cohort, maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance requirements

  • Manage the full 360 recruitment process from job brief to placement, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, shortlisting and presenting candidates to clients

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding workforce requirements and providing tailored recruitment solutions

  • Ensure all candidate and client documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory and contractual requirements

  • Actively promote shift and placement opportunities to candidates, providing coaching and support throughout the recruitment process

  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimise recruitment outcomes and resolve any issues promptly

Let’s talk about you!

You’re a proactive, high-energy professional with previous experience in recruitment, sales, or account management, ideally within the medical or healthcare sector. You have excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, and you excel at building strong relationships with clients and candidates. You are self-motivated, organised, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

You bring experience working with doctors, clinicians, or in the medical industry, a strong background in customer service or account management, and a high level of professionalism with attention to compliance.
