Sonographer

Step into a role with greater scope
If you are an experienced Sonographer who enjoys clinical variety, professional autonomy and ready access to radiologists, this could be your next long-term move.

Our client is an established private diagnostic imaging provider seeking a capable ultrasound professional for its well-positioned clinic. You’ll join a multidisciplinary environment that combines an extensive imaging service with a strong focus on quality, collaboration and patient care.

With a salary of $130,000–$170,000 + super, no on-call requirements and relocation assistance available, this opportunity offers an attractive next step for an accomplished Sonographer ready to contribute from day one.

About the opportunity
This is a full-time position offering exposure to a broad and interesting ultrasound caseload. The clinic aims to provide an extensive range of examinations and procedures, giving you the opportunity to use your existing skills across general ultrasound, MSK, women’s imaging, obstetric imaging and procedural work.

Radiologists are available on site, creating a supportive clinical environment where cases can be discussed directly and decisions made efficiently. You will still have the autonomy expected of an experienced practitioner while benefiting from accessible specialist input when required.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing accurate, high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations
  • Working across a varied private-practice patient and referral base
  • Supporting ultrasound-guided procedures within your existing scope
  • Producing clear worksheets and communicating relevant clinical findings
  • Collaborating closely with radiologists and the wider imaging team
  • Maintaining excellent standards of patient safety, dignity and care
  • Contributing to efficient workflows and a positive clinic environment

About you
This opportunity will suit an established Sonographer who can confidently manage a varied workload without supervised development.

You will require:

  • A recognised postgraduate qualification in medical sonography
  • Current accreditation with the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry
  • Strong general ultrasound experience in a private-practice environment
  • Demonstrated capability across a broad range of examinations
  • Experience in MSK, women’s imaging, obstetrics or ultrasound-guided procedures
  • Sound clinical judgement and consistently high imaging standards
  • Clear communication and a calm, patient-centred manner
  • Australian working rights without employer sponsorship

Candidates who can contribute across several ultrasound specialities will be particularly well suited to this position.

Why consider this opportunity?

  • Excellent remuneration: $130,000–$170,000 + super
  • Clinical variety: Build your week around a broad mix of scans and procedures
  • Radiologist access: Work with doctors available on site for clinical discussion
  • No on-call: Enjoy greater certainty outside your rostered hours
  • Desirable location: Join an established private clinic in Double Bay
  • Multidisciplinary setting: Work alongside a wider diagnostic imaging team
  • Relocation support: Assistance is available for the right interstate candidate
  • Professional autonomy: Bring your established expertise to a role that values it
