Not always. Depending on the role, transferable experience, current study or relevant qualifications may be considered.

Yes. Eligible students completing a recognised qualification may be able to gain paid casual experience through HCA’s Kickstart Program while continuing their studies.
Can I transition from Disability Support to Youth Work?
Yes. Many of the skills developed in disability, mental health and community services are highly transferable to Youth Work.
How do I progress into specialist youth services?
