About Healthcare Australia

Healthcare Australia provides healthcare workforce and services solutions across Australia. Our corporate teams support a diverse range of businesses and operational functions, creating an environment where high-quality reporting and commercial insight are critical to effective decision-making.

About the Role

This role sits at the intersection of commercial finance, business intelligence and operational performance, supporting leaders across the organisation with trusted reporting, meaningful analysis and actionable insights.

The successful candidate will take ownership of a range of financial and operational reporting solutions, including executive KPI reporting, revenue and profitability analysis, workforce reporting and performance dashboards. You will work closely with Finance, operational leaders and other corporate functions to understand business requirements, improve reporting processes and translate complex datasets into clear information that supports commercial decision-making.

This is a hands-on analytical role suited to someone who is comfortable working across multiple business areas, combining strong technical reporting capability with commercial understanding and stakeholder engagement.

Salary range

$100,000.00 – $110,000.00 annual base salary + superannuation

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve Power BI dashboards, management reports and executive reporting packs covering financial, operational and workforce performance.
  • Analyse business performance across key measures including revenue, gross profit, margin, labour, productivity, service delivery and operational KPIs.
  • Produce regular weekly and monthly performance reporting for senior management and business leaders, highlighting trends, variances, risks and opportunities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and performance management through analysis of historical trends, operational drivers and business assumptions.
  • Perform commercial analysis to support pricing decisions, profitability reviews, business cases and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Consolidate and analyse information from multiple business systems and data sources to provide a consistent view of organisational performance.
  • Design and automate reporting processes using Power BI, Power Query and advanced Excel, reducing manual reporting and improving the timeliness and reliability of information.
  • Build and maintain robust data models, calculations and reporting logic to ensure consistent KPI definitions and accurate business reporting.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, People & Culture, Technology and other business functions to identify reporting requirements and develop fit-for-purpose analytical solutions.
  • Investigate data discrepancies, perform reconciliations and work with relevant stakeholders to improve data quality, governance and reporting integrity.
  • Translate complex financial and operational information into clear insights and recommendations for both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Respond to ad hoc analytical requests from senior management and provide decision support on emerging commercial and operational issues.
  • Contribute to broader finance transformation, reporting automation and business intelligence initiatives as the organisation continues to enhance its data and reporting capability.

  • Strong experience developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and practical experience using Power Query for data transformation and reporting automation.
  • Experience analysing financial and operational performance, including revenue, profitability, margins, budgets, forecasts or business KPIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets from multiple systems and translate data into meaningful business information.
  • Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation and reporting controls.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present analytical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing reporting requirements and deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work collaboratively across Finance, Operations and corporate functions.

Highly Regarded

Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:

  • Commercial finance, FP&A or management reporting.
  • Healthcare, workforce services, recruitment or another complex multi-business or service-based organisation.
  • DAX, data modelling or Microsoft Fabric.
