Disability Support Worker

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to NDIS participants living in Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes and community settings across the Central Coast.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Personal care and supporting daily living activities
  • Community access, social support and transport
  • Medication assistance and documentation
  • Manual handling and mobility support
  • Promoting independence, choice and inclusion
  • Building positive relationships with participants and families
  • Completing progress notes and incident reporting
  • Supporting participants to achieve their individual goals

About You To be successful, you will have:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in SIL, disability support or community care
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting people with disability
  • Reliability, professionalism and a person-centred approach
  • Availability across a variety of shifts including days, afternoons, nights and weekends

Essential Requirements

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current National Police Check (within 3 years)
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to transport participants
  • Up-to-date vaccinations and compliance documentation
  • Full Australian working rights (no sponsorship available)
