Healthcare Australia Doctors is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Medical Officer for overnight locum shifts at Swan Hill District Health, Victoria, across the Christmas and New Year holiday period. Hospital: Swan Hill District Health, VIC
Role: Emergency Department Medical Officer
Rate: $250 per hour (holiday rate)
Shift Hours: 11:00pm – 8:30am
Travel & Accommodation: Covered upon hospital approval
Available Shifts All shifts commence at 11:00pm and finish at 8:30am the following morning. December 2026

Potential Earnings
$2,375 per 9.5-hour shift
$16,625 across all seven shifts, based on the advertised hourly rate and hours, before any applicable deductions
About the Opportunity Join the Emergency Department team at Swan Hill District Health, providing medical care to patients presenting with a range of emergency and acute conditions. The successful doctor will be comfortable working in a regional Emergency Department environment and collaborating with the wider clinical team. Requirements
Current AHPRA medical registration
Relevant Emergency Department experience at Medical Officer level
Ability to work the advertised overnight shifts
Ability to meet hospital credentialing and compliance requirements
