Nurse Unit Manager (Level 2) – Perioperative Services Up to $140,000 + Super

About the Opportunity You will take end-to-end responsibility for theatre operations, leading performance, efficiency and workforce strategy across perioperative services.
This is a role where you can genuinely influence outcomes, from theatre utilisation and service planning through to team performance, financial results and patient safety.
You’ll work closely with executive leadership, aligning operational delivery with broader organisational goals while maintaining strong clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day and strategic operations of perioperative services
- Optimise theatre utilisation, workflow and service efficiency
- Oversee workforce planning, rostering models and staffing strategy
- Manage full P&L performance including budgeting and cost control
- Drive financial forecasting and sustainable service growth
- Ensure compliance with NSQHS standards and ACORN guidelines
- Maintain strong clinical governance, risk management and safety outcomes
- Lead, mentor and develop multidisciplinary teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
- Collaborate across departments to support integrated service delivery
About You
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Proven experience in perioperative or theatre leadership
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, accreditation and compliance
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets and financial performance
- Ability to lead high-performing teams and influence culture
- Commercial mindset with strong operational and strategic thinking
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
