Operations Manager – Home Care

Lead the operations of a growing home care organisation and shape the future of Support at Home. Are you an experienced aged care or home care leader ready to take ownership of operations and make a genuine impact?

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and highly regarded home care provider in a senior operational leadership position, with the autonomy to influence strategy, performance, culture and service delivery.

The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Executive Team, you will take end-to-end responsibility for home care operations across multiple locations, leading frontline teams, driving service excellence and ensuring the organisation continues to deliver high-quality, compliant and person-centred care.
You will be joining at an important time for the sector, with ongoing aged care reform and the implementation of Support at Home creating both challenges and opportunities for providers.

This role will suit an operational leader who understands the home care landscape and can translate strategy, regulation and business objectives into strong operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day home care operations, including service delivery, client intake, onboarding, rostering and workforce planning.
• Oversee Support at Home performance, ensuring strong budget utilisation, care management, claiming accuracy and commercial outcomes.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Care Partners and frontline staff, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with clinical and quality teams to oversee governance, incidents, complaints, audits, risk management and continuous improvement.
• Drive business growth through new partnerships, referral pathways and strong relationships within local communities.
• Monitor operational performance, workforce costs, budgets and key business metrics.
• Translate regulatory and sector changes into practical operational strategies.
• Provide clear, data-driven reporting to the Executive Team on performance, opportunities and risk.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and the overall client experience.

About You We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded operational leader who can confidently balance people, performance, compliance and growth.
You will ideally have:

• Strong operational leadership experience within aged care, home care, community care or a related sector.
• A strong understanding of the Aged Care Act, Quality Standards and Support at Home.
• Proven experience in compliance, quality, risk and incident management.
• Experience leading dispersed teams and developing high-performing leaders.
• Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing budgets, workforce costs and operational performance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to build trust, influence at an executive level and lead through change.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, health or a related discipline are desirable.
• A clinical background will be highly regarded but is not essential.
• A current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.
