We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Facility Manager to lead the successful transition of a newly acquired residential aged care service.
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a service. You will be responsible for stabilising operations, embedding systems and governance frameworks, and leading teams through a period of change — all while ensuring exceptional outcomes for residents and their families.
About the Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will take ownership of the home, ensuring the service is safe, compliant, and aligned to organisational standards.
You will lead the integration of systems, workforce, and culture, while maintaining continuity of care and delivering strong operational and clinical performance. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic execution with day-to-day service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the change management of a newly acquired aged care service
- Provide strong operational and clinical leadership during a period of transition
- Drive compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and governance frameworks
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and cost control measures
- Lead workforce alignment including recruitment, onboarding, and capability uplift
- Manage risk, incident response, and compliance remediation activities
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders
- Deliver clear and consistent executive reporting on performance, risks, and progress
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Extensive leadership experience within residential aged care, ideally in commissioning, acquisition, or transformation environments
- Demonstrated ability to stabilise underperforming services and drive measurable improvement
- Strong working knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, clinical governance, and regulatory compliance
- Advanced stakeholder engagement and change management capability
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams through periods of organisational change
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budget management and performance optimisation
- Highly developed critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- A genuine commitment to person-centred care and resident outcomes
