The role We are seeking committed Disability Support Workers for ongoing shifts in the Northern and Western Suburbs such as Coburg, Fawkner, Preston, South Morang, Tullamarine, Werribee, Bendigo and surrounding suburbs. Your primary responsibility will be to support NDIS participants living with a disability in their private homes. This can involve manual handling, community access, transportation, personal care and companionship. This role is perfect for someone with a person-centred approach, who is energetic and excited to make a difference in people’s lives and is passionate about the work they do
Shifts are available 7 days per week at a variety of times
Essential criteria:
Minimum of 6 months paid experience in supporting people with disabilities
High Manual Handling skills and experience such as using hoist, sliding sheet, assisting with transfers from bed to wheelchair
NDIS Workers Screening Check clearance
Employment Working with Children’s Check, or willing to obtain one
Have a current, or willing be to obtain a First Aid(HLTAID003) and CPR (HLTAID001) certificate
Two relevant, professional and industry related reference checks
Medication Administration, PEG Feeding certificate and experience are highly regarded
