About the role
Our client in Mackay, QLD is seeking 3 locum Pharmacist to join their team for around 6 months to help their Pharmacy department. The pharmacy service is based at the Mackay Base Hospital and provides patient centred pharmacy services, seven days a week. The pharmacy provides medication on hospital prescriptions for use while patients are in hospital.
Location: Mackay, QLD
Facility: Mackay Base Hospital
Duration: As soon as possible – 31st March 2025 (Flexible)
Roster: 8-hour shifts – ranging from 08:30-17:00, including weekends
Travel and Accommodation: Provided
Key responsibilities include:
Dispense and distribute medications accurately and efficiently.
Managing the Dispensary and supervising dispensary staff
Provide professional medication counselling and education to patients.
Work cooperatively and effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
To be successful in the role you will have:
Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent)
Current general AHPRA registration (essential)
At least 2 years demonstrated experience as a Pharmacist (essential)
Australian working rights (essential)
