Our Client is looking for an experienced Aged Care Leader to join the management team of a well-established 100+ bed residential aged care home on the Central Coast.
You’ll report directly to the Facility Manager and work alongside another experienced Care Manager, sharing clinical leadership across the home while still having genuine ownership and influence.
You’ll also have access to strong quality, education and operational support through a large national healthcare organisation.
The role
This is a visible, hands-on clinical leadership position with a strong focus on developing people, maintaining high standards of care and driving continuous improvement.
You’ll work closely with Registered Nurses and care teams to strengthen clinical capability, support complex decision-making and ensure residents receive safe, person-centred care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting Registered Nurses and care teams
- Coaching, mentoring and developing clinical capability
- Overseeing resident assessments, care planning and clinical reviews
- Supporting AN-ACC processes and accurate clinical documentation
- Leading clinical audits, risk reviews and continuous improvement
- Reviewing incidents, complaints and changes in resident condition
- Maintaining strong medication management and governance
- Supporting complex care including wounds, pain and palliative care
- Working with GPs, allied health professionals and residents’ families
- Maintaining compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
What we’re looking for
You’ll be a confident clinical leader who can support teams, challenge standards when needed and build capability in others.
You’ll need:
- Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration
- Strong residential aged care clinical experience
- Previous leadership experience within an aged care environment
- Strong knowledge of care planning and clinical governance
- Experience with AN-ACC, audits and continuous improvement
- Strong communication, coaching and relationship management skills
Experience as a Care Manager, Clinical Manager, Clinical Nurse Manager, Deputy Director of Nursing or senior Registered Nurse would translate well.
