About the role

Our client is a leading Victorian not-for-profit organisation specialising in disability services. They are looking to appoint Behaviour Support Practitioners to join their growing team in various locations through Melbourne.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage a diverse caseload and deliver evidence-based interventions
• Apply understanding of disability rights and Positive Behavior Support principles
• Identify challenging behaviours and develop behaviour support plans
• Adapt behavior support strategies to various environments such as home, school, or community settings
• Monitor and evaluate behaviour support plans
• Complete psychological assessments and counselling using CBT and ABA techniques

To be successful in the role you will have:

• Bachelor of Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis or equivalent
• Core, Proficient, Advanced or Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS
• Demonstrated experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
• Full Australian drivers’ licence and reliable vehicle
• National Police Clearance
• NDIS, WWC (or willing to obtain)
• Australian working rights
• Up to date immunisation history
• Open and understanding personality with a collaborative approach
