About the role
Our client is a leading Victorian not-for-profit organisation specialising in disability services. They are looking to appoint Behaviour Support Practitioners to join their growing team in various locations through Melbourne.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage a diverse caseload and deliver evidence-based interventions
- Apply understanding of disability rights and Positive Behavior Support principles
- Identify challenging behaviours and develop behaviour support plans
- Adapt behavior support strategies to various environments such as home, school, or community settings
- Monitor and evaluate behaviour support plans
- Complete psychological assessments and counselling using CBT and ABA techniques
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Bachelor of Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis or equivalent
- Core, Proficient, Advanced or Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS
- Demonstrated experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Full Australian drivers’ licence and reliable vehicle
- National Police Clearance
- NDIS, WWC (or willing to obtain)
- Australian working rights
- Up to date immunisation history
- Open and understanding personality with a collaborative approach
