What do the clinicians that came to HCA as Graduates have to say?
Working for HCA has allowed me to do some pretty amazing things- I have travelled Europe and some parts of Australia that I hadn’t yet been. I recently worked in Cairns where I spent time exploring waterfalls, trying local restaurants, scuba diving and bungee jumping just to name a few!
Following graduation, I was able to gain employment with Healthcare Australia, where I am contracted out on a full-time basis to work at an aged care facility. I have been working here for 5 months now, and absolutely love it. I am able to collaborate with facility staff, families, and most importantly the residents here, to formulate and implement care plans to provide the highest level of care.
The coolest thing about my job right now is hearing all the stories from residents. I ask them questions about their family and their childhood, in turn, they ask me about mine. They tell me stories from their childhood that are very unique to their time. All these stories are being told while I provide treatment for them, which definitely makes treatment sessions more meaningful.
