NDIS funding provides support for necessary services to improve your everyday life. The funding amount is based on your individual plan and usually lasts for the entire duration of your plan i.e. 12 months after your plan starts.
NDIS funding amounts do not roll over to your next plan, so any unused funding will be lost. This may result in a restructure of your NDIS funding, depending on the change in your support requirements.
Disability Care Fees
The NDIS allocations range from $44.61 per hour depending on the type of HCA support service you require and the state you live in.
The NDIS price guide is updated annually by the NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency), effective from July 1st each year. The most up-to-date NDIS price guides can be found here
You can use your NDIS funding to pay for a variety of support and care services. Each plan is budgeted based on individual needs and goals.
Support and care services for eligible NDIS participants fall into three categories:
Core: Support that helps a participant complete daily activities
Capital: Support for an investment, such as assistive technologies, equipment and home or vehicle modifications, or funding for capital costs
Capacity building: Support that helps a participant build their independence and skills
We pride ourselves on our ability to help you get more out of your funding, i.e. getting extra support and care for you.
Our team will get to know you and your needs to identify support services that will help you reach your goals. We will then work with you to understand your budgeting options and manage the support services you need.
Your NDIS services payment depends on your NDIS funding. HCA’s specialists will work with you to plan and manage your payment options in the following ways:
NDIA Managed Plans: HCA will negotiate all terms with you (or your representative) and arrange payment with the NDIA directly.
Self-Managed Plans: HCA will negotiate all terms with you (or your representative) and arrange payment structure with you via the HCA portal.
Third-Party Plans: HCA will negotiate all terms with you (or your representative) and arrange a payment structure with your nominated third-party provider.
State government disability packages
Various states across Australia provide disability benefits in areas which haven’t transitioned to NDIS plans. If you’re a recipient of a government-initiated Disability Package, HCA will be able to help you during this transition period.
Our disability specialists understand the complexity of funding options available in each area and are always happy to discuss available options with you.
Private funded services
If you find that you have one-off requests, such as travel and holiday assistance, need help during extended periods of respite, or if you find that the NDIS or state-funded budgets available to you don’t cover all the services required, you can choose to privately fund extra services with HCA.
Insurance payout
If you’ve experienced total or permanent disability, you may be provided with third-party insurance payments.
