WHS Business Partner

Healthcare Australia (HCA) is Australia’s largest specialist healthcare workforce provider. We are a major provider of healthcare services across Australia, including allied health, primary care, recruitment, NDIS, care services, and training. Our mission is to provide exceptional care, create a strong sense of purpose for our people, and be a valued partner to our clients.

In this hands-on partnering role, you’ll make a genuine impact on the safety, wellbeing and recovery of our people by:

  • Partnering with leaders to implement and continuously improve WHS and injury management frameworks
  • Providing practical, trusted advice on physical and psychosocial risk management across a complex, multi-site environment
  • Leading incident, hazard and injury management processes, from early intervention to return to work
  • Supporting audits, inspections, reporting and compliance aligned with WHS legislation and ISO standards
  • Building strong relationships across HR, Operations, Clinical Governance and external stakeholders

Why you’ll want to work with us

At HCA, your work truly matters. You’ll be part of an organisation where safety, wellbeing and care are central to everything we do. We offer:

  • A purpose-driven organisation making a meaningful difference in healthcare and community outcomes
  • The opportunity to influence WHS strategy and culture in a large, diverse, national business
  • A collaborative, values-led culture with strong partnerships across clinical, operational and corporate teams
  • Variety and challenge through exposure to complex WHS, injury management and psychosocial risk environments
  • Support for your growth, professional development and continuous improvement mindset
  • HCA have offices in most states and territories so as long as you are able to travel to one of our many offices, we will consider your application.

Let’s talk about you!

You’re an experienced and proactive WHS professional who enjoys partnering with the business to create safe, compliant and supportive workplaces. You bring a strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, with experience applying WHS systems in medium to large, ideally multi-site organisations. You’re confident coaching leaders, managing competing priorities, and translating legislation into practical, people-focused outcomes. Experience in injury management, early intervention and return-to-work processes—ideally within healthcare or similarly complex environments—will see you thrive in this role.

Qualifications

  • Diploma, bachelor’s degree or equivalent in WHS and/or similar discipline.
  • Cert IV Training and Assessment (desirable)
  • WorkSafe-approved Return to Work Coordinator Certification (desirable)

Healthcare Australia has offices in most states and territories, and this opportunity is open to suitable candidates who can accommodate a hybrid working arrangement from home and their closest HCA office.
