HCA National Specialty Nursing Welcome Bonus

Both new and rejoining midwives and nurses with specialty skills (theatre, Critical Care, A&E, Cath Lab,) working with HCA from the 1^st of August are eligible to bank an extra $500 in their pay. To score the bonus, it’s as easy as working 20 shifts, or 6 weeks rurally. How good’s that?

• The incentive program runs from 1^st August 2022 12:00 am AEST until Friday 31st October 2022 11:59 am AEST 2022
• Eligibility extends to staff with the following classifications: RNs, ENs, RMs
  • Further eligible RNs & ENs must work within the following nursing specialities to be eligible:
    • Operating theatre (incl. scrub, scout, perioperative, anaesthetic, recovery)
    • ICU, CCU
    • HDU
    • A&E
    • Midwifery
  • To be eligible the candidate must be someone who prior to 1^st August 2022 has never worked for Healthcare Australia OR is someone who hasn’t been active with HCA in the last 6 months.
  • The reward is paid out to the candidate upon completing 20 shifts in one specialty area within the specified timeframe. Alternatively, you can work an applicable 6-week contract (240+ hours) with our Rural and Remote Team
  • You may cash in your bonus anytime within the specified timeframe once the minimum amount of shifts specified above has been worked.
  • The onus is on the candidate to notify HCA that they have reached the criteria for their National Nursing Specialty Welcome Bonus
  • Candidate must be active and be working to claim the National Nursing Specialty Welcome Bonus
  • You may only claim the National Specialty Nursing Welcome Bonus once for only one specialty area
  • All submissions must be made in writing to the relevant state:

  • For R&R: –
    • For candidates being paid by the facility (ie. Cat 2), bonus will be paid on the provision of approved timesheets/payslips amounting to 6 weeks
    • If you’re on a Cat 2 (facility payroll) placement you are able to cash out your bonus points, at any time within the specified timeframe, during or following the completion of your placement.
  • The $500 cash bonus will be paid via payroll. Please remember that tax and super legislative requirements apply
  • All payments are at the discretion of HCA
  • Upon requesting to cash out your National Nursing Specialty Welcome Bonus processing time can vary. Typically, your request should be processed within 20 business days of the request in your standard pay run.
  • This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with other offers
  • HCA reserves the right to extend, change or end this promotion without prior notice.
