Our acclaimed Refer A Friend program just got bigger! We’ve expanded the eligibility criteria so that all HCA field staff are included.* Even better, for each successful referral you will both receive a reward.
* Please note that this statement refers to the National Rewards Program which is applicable to RNs, ENs, RMs, Theatre Staff, AINs, PCAs, and Disability Support Workers (Community Care). For allied health professionals, doctors, and carers please refer to their specific terms and conditions here.
When you Refer a Friend to Healthcare Australia you both win. If you meet the criteria and refer an RN, EN, RM, Theatre Staff, AIN, PCA or Disability Support Worker (Community Care) you can both receive a minimum of $250, and up to $500, depending on the award of the friend referred.

Furtherto be eligible the referred candidate must either not have been active with HCA for the last 2 years OR be someone who has never worked for Healthcare Australia.

Scenario A
If an AIN/PCA or Disability Support Worker refers an RN, EN, RM or Theatre staff then they receive $500 as well as the referred candidate
Scenario B
If an RN, RM, EN and Theatre staff refers an AIN/PCA or Disability Support Worker then they receive $250 as well as the referred candidate
Referring is easy. Referrals are recognised nationally so the referred candidate can work in a different state or division to you no worries. The person being referred just needs to mention the referrers name in the interview – this is important to ensure you get your reward.
Note that the referrer must be deemed an active employee themselves. They must have worked worked a contract or shift within the last 12 weeks to be eligible for a bonus.

It’s simple. Once the referred friend works 100 hours (within 90 days) or a 6-week Rural and Remote placement simply notify HCA that you and the person who referred you are both eligible for your Refer a Friend bonus, it really is that easy! Referrals for 2023 are recognised from the 30th of November, 2022 onwards. So if your friend became active on or after that date they are eligible. It’s important to know that candidates must be active to claim rewards, so if you want your bonus you will both need to be active at the time of claiming.
