What was your professional background / work history before joining HCA?
I started with HCA as a New Graduate Occupational Therapist who worked in Aged Care Facilities providing residents with pain management intervention and equipment. I was lucky enough to become a Regional Manager for VIC and TAS which entailed managing our Physio’s and OT’s working in Aged Care. I then decided I needed a new challenge and was given the opportunity recently to join our Home Care Division!
How long have you been with the HCA team?
6 years!
What is your favourite thing to do when not working?
My favourite thing to do would be relaxing with friends and family. I do enjoy adventure and getting beach-side in the summer. And I probably spend a little too much time watching the AFL. Go Bombers!
What is your favourite movie, band or book?
I am more a movie person rather than a book person but in saying that I couldn’t name a favourite movie! Id watch anything from Rom-Coms to Action/ Drama to Harry Potter. But I will avoid Horrors!
What’s a quote you try to live by?
The ability to do hard things now, is what will make things for your future self
What do you like most about working in HCA Home Care?
We have a relatively new Home Care team in VIC. The staff we have brought into the team share the same enthusiasm and passion to want to provide better services for our clients. We want to get to know our clients on a more personable level and provide a higher level of care. I have full trust in our new team and I’m excited for the future of HCA Home Care!
