HCA are seeking experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to work for one of our clients based in Sydney CBD
About the Role
As the Clinical Nurse Educator , you will report to the Manager of Clinical Procedures and Practice Excellence. You will play a vital role in developing educational programs and providing clinical training across aged care centres nationally, with a focus on mentoring and supporting less-experienced clinicians.
- Provide direct clinical training at the site level that supports learning and professional standards of practice ensuring staff understand their role and scope of practice.
- Act as a mentor/role model for staff to undertake learning and competency assessments that support the achievement of an appropriately skilled workforce.
- Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate clinical teaching and education programs that are evidenced based, meet identified learning gaps and priorities.
- Utilise a range of educational and learning strategies to facilitate the development of competency within individuals to deliver competent nursing care.
- Provide coordination and support for transitional nurses ensuring they are able to apply their learning to clinical practice in a supported environment.
- Collaborate with management, individual/s and multidisciplinary team members to facilitate adult learning education and training environment utilising effective communication and negotiation skills to ensure operational requirements and support the provision of person-centred quality care.
About You
- Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Relevant clinical or educational qualifications post-registration.
- Experience in aged care or current clinical nursing practice.
Benefits
- NFP salary packaging of up to $15,900
- Salary $108,000
- Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
- Based in Sydney CBD
