The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the incoming way of providing support for Australians with disability, their families and carers. The NDIS will provide about 460,000 Australians under the age of 65 with a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to live a fuller life. Our goal is to build a robust and sustainable range of NDIS 1:1 service direct to customers which will then provide them with the ability to achieve their goals including living in their own home.
The role:
HCA Brisbane is looking for a Rostering Team Leader to join our disability services team on a permanent full-time basis. The Rostering Team Leader will report to the National Rostering Manager and will be responsible for providing leadership to the Rostering Team in Brisbane while monitoring and reporting on HCA rostering activities, ensuring timelines and targets are met. The position will also step in to provide rostering support to the team & insights the management team when required.
The rostering team is responsible for the allocation of our NDIS support worker’s shifts, ensuring the participants have all hours filled within a reasonable timeframe. Working closely with the Care Coordination, Recruitment and Business Development teams, you will ensure a great customer service experience for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the roster according to the Annual Workforce Plan
- Identifying gaps, filling cancellations within the roster
- Process applicant files and enter onto operating system
- Manage rosters according to client requirements
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with workforce and client
- Train and assist with the integration of new staff into the workforce.
- Adopt successful match client needs regarding skill, continuity and availability.
- Perform ADHOC duties and projects assigned by the manager

Is this you?
- Experience within the support services and disability services industry
- Relevant experience in workforce management and roster management
- Driven, passionate and dedicated to delivering effective supports to with people with disability
- Emotionally intelligent and an ability to emphasise with customers and respond to their ever-changing needs.
- Ability to calmly perform in high pressure situations
- Determined to perform, exceed targets and execute commercial concepts.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Hold current or willing to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check and working with children’s check
- Hold current police check (within 3 years), or consent for internal check
