The opportunity and about the role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pricing Analyst to join our dynamic team in Melbourne, Australia. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in supporting our commercial strategies by providing accurate and competitive pricing solutions tailored to our clients’ needs. This is an initial 12 month fixed term contract.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of pricing proposals for key client projects, tenders, and bids
- Provide expert advice and support for business-as-usual pricing activities and client price offers
- Develop clear and concise materials and documentation for effective client communications
- Collaborate with the Accounts team to ensure the accuracy of client rates in databases and related systems
- Play an active role in the annual price review process, offering insightful analysis and recommendations
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT and systems teams, to enhance rate management systems and processes
- Offer guidance and training to key stakeholders on system capabilities and pricing processes
What you will bring to the role:
A strong communicator, your experience and well-developed problem solving skills have provided you an outcome-focused, systematic approach to finding solutions and delivering on time frames required.
You’re confident working under pressure, juggling conflicting priorities as they arise and you have the ability to identify commercial risks within contracts as required.
Skills and Qualifications required:
- Solid understanding of and exposure to price optimization processes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong financial modeling capabilities with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills to balance multiple priorities
- At least 5 years of experience in a financial analytics role, with preference for pricing and commercial analysis experience
- Strong commercial awareness paired with exceptional communication skills
- Extensive experience in financial modeling with a robust analytical skillset
- Proven ability to anticipate work needs and execute with minimal direction
- Familiarity with invoicing, finance, and price management systems
- Self-motivated and thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
