About the role

We are seeking Rehabilitation Counsellors on either a permanent full-time or part-time basis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage a caseload of clients with psychological or physical injuries
  • Complete initial assessments and identify any barriers preventing the client from returning to work
  • Set individualised goals and organise appropriate interventions
  • Conduct vocational assessments and provide vocational counselling
  • Attend medical appointments
  • Complete case notes and reports
  • Facilitate a safe and timely return to work
  • Communicate effectively with clients and medical professionals

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Counselling or Masters of Rehabilitation Counselling or Master of Psychology
  • Full or associate membership with ASORC as a Rehabilitation Counsellor
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role (preferred)
  • Full Australian drivers’ licence and reliable vehicle
  • National police check
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
